On Monday October 21, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians awarded the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) Foundation with a $100,000 check in support of its Corona specialty clinic. This funding will enhance the facility with important improvements, including the removal of old carpets, installation of durable vinyl flooring and the replacement of existing furniture with easily sanitized options. Additionally, the clinic will feature an engaging wall mural and smart TVs in the waiting areas. This year the clinic is projected to serve over 5,000 pediatric patients, with 75% of them coming from Riverside and San Bernardino counties, in keeping with the Tribe’s pillar of reinforcing healthy and resilient communities.
