This year, several nonprofits in California and Nevada supporting veterans, public educators, at-risk youth and more were recognized at the Tribe’s Forging Hope Awards, held in April and May, including the Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation.
The federally recognized Indian Nation of Tolowa Dee-ni' People has over 2,000 Tribal Citizens in its general membership. Its headquarters is located three miles south of the Oregon-California border in the Pacific Northwest of California. Its mission is to exert and protect the inherent sovereignty endowed the Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation to promote its tribal identity and the wellbeing of its people, community and environment by building a strong foundation, managing resources, and perpetuating its cultural life ways and legacy.
