Collecting Toys for Socal Families and Children

by smcommunity

This past 2020 holiday season, we continued our toy drive traditions in hopes of bringing joy to children all across the southland. With many families experiencing financial hardships this year, toy drives are especially important. To spread holiday cheer to as many families as possible, we participated in the following toy drive initiatives:

San Manuel Casino’s Annual Toy Drive
During the month of December, San Manuel Casino staff and patrons donated new and unwrapped toys for children in our community. These thoughtful gifts include everything from dolls to race cars and even sports equipment. Every toy collected was gifted to families from local school districts and to our nonprofit partners and programs such as Lighthouse Social Service Centers and Seeds of Hope.

CHiPs for Kids
Our San Manuel Department of Public Safety was determined to make sure every kid across the region received a holiday gift. They proudly donated hundreds of presents to the CHiPs for Kids toy drive.

Spark of Love
The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians participated in the virtual Spark of Love Stuff-A-Bus event where Chairman Ken Ramirez presented a donation of $25,000. These funds will go toward purchasing toys for underserved children and teens in San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange, Ventura and Los Angeles counties.
