A ribbon-cutting was held October 5 to celebrate the reopening of the newly renovated Highland Senior Center. The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians awarded a $500,000 grant to support the renovation of the center's 100-year-old kitchen/dining room, hallways, bathroom and interior flooring, ensuring a safer and more accessible building.
The Tribe’s giving pillar of reinforcing healthy and resilient communities aligns with the Highland Senior Center’s mission to enrich, maintain and protect the quality of life for senior adults in the area, especially for the low-income senior population.
